Setting up UniFi cameras on AREDN mesh network

G4 Instant

Powered up via USB-C connector and USB-C/AC adapter. "Ready to adopt" message is audible announced. Ubiquiti apps do not find it (Protect, Connect, UniFi).

Plugged into Windows computer's USB-C port. Powered up. Logged in Device Manager as COM4, basic serial device. No further progress made.

G4 Pro

Booted old, simple router and connected to it via Ethernet cable from computer. Plugged another Ethernet cable into router and PoE injector. Applied power to PoE injector. Connected camera to PoE injector and waited for it to boot. Found camera at 192.168.1.3 . Completed setup using default username/password ubnt/ubnt. Changed username and password to ACS default.

Connected PoE injector (input) to Mikrotik hAP ac3, port 4. Power cycled camera. Connected computer to the hAP, port 3. When port 4 is configured to "LAN," able to access camera's webpage via its IP address. When port 4 is configured to "mesh," unable to access.

Tried XLINKS (didn't know what to do).

Selected Address Reservation for the camera and unchecked "Do not propagate." Added Local Service pointing to camera's "snap.jpeg" file. Attempting to access it yielded "401 - Unauthorized."
